I really enjoy your traditional collage work, especially the use of electrical tape, it really adds character to the piece. Little things like the way the light hits the tape in the crease of the pages. I dig. :D (Big Grin)

the black (duct?)tape is here to break the innocence of the childy imagery
it evoke censorship (if there's censorship, then there's something to censor... and that's not what we expect from kids), and some kind of boundage too

for some reason the black "censorship" bars (particularly on the girl's eyes) freak me out. give a sinister, perverse, forbidden feel to this otherwise innocent and cute image. hmm...maybe it's just my lurid imagination...
